Chateau JM

This chateau was build at sometime around 1850. Over the years it has changed uses and names and has been left empty and abandoned for some time now. Nowadays derelict Château is situated in the middle of a host of other buildings which form part of a medial complex. The building have been disused on a regular basis for quite sometime with evidence of decay setting in on some of the walls and ceilings. It would appear that there are plans to renovate the building and integrate it into the other currently occupied hospital buildings. A château is a manor house or residence of the lord of the manor or a country house of nobility or gentry, with or without fortifications, originally in French-speaking regions. A château is supported by its terres, composing a demesne that renders the society of the château largely self-sufficient, in the manner of the historic Roman and Early Medieval villa system.
